Las enfermedades transfronterizas de los animales es algo que no se debe de pasar en alto, porque son epidémicas, altamente contagiosas y pueden propagarse muy rápido. 

 

A pesar de los grandes esfuerzos para controlar estas enfermedades, siguen captándose algunas de ellas en diversas partes del mundo.

 

Exporta sin enfermedades.

 

El objetivo de la presente nota es contribuir al conocimiento acerca de cuáles son algunas de las enfermedades transfronterizas. Así como sus efectos económicos,  y qué hace la (FAO) para responder a las situaciones de emergencia causadas por ellas. 

 

¿Cuáles son?

Algunas de las enfermedades transfronterizas más comunes son:

  • Brucelosis.

 

  • Tuberculosis bovina.

 

  • Enfermedades parasitarias.

 

  • Carbunco bacterianos.

 

  • Encefalopatía.

 

  • Cepas de virus de influenza.

 

Efectos económicos:

 

Los efectos económicos de las enfermedades transfronterizas varían dependiendo del tipo de plaga o enfermedad, y eso dificulta su medición precisa.

 

Uno de los principales efectos es la pérdida de la producción o la menor eficiencia de la misma, eso reduce los ingresos agrícolas.

 

Por lo regular causan un efecto negativo en la seguridad alimentaria y la nutrición en los países en desarrollo. 

 

Generalmente, tratar esas enfermedades implican gastos un poco grandes. Ya que incluyen los costos de inspección, seguimiento, prevención y reacción. 

 

FAO:

 

La (Food and Agriculture Organization) (FAO) cuenta con un sistema de prevención de emergencia de plagas y enfermedades. Este sistema elabora estrategias para realizar un seguimiento y enviar mensajes de alerta temprana.  

 

El Centro de Emergencia para la lucha contra las Enfermedades Transfronterizas de los Animales de la (FAO), es un centro dedicado a la planificación y el suministro de asistencia veterinaria. Para responder adecuadamente a las amenazas.

 

La (FAO) también creó el Centro de Gestión de Emergencia de Sanidad Animal. Esta es la unidad de respuesta más rápida para las situaciones de emergencia causadas por las enfermedades de animales.

 

Considerando lo mencionado anteriormente, es de vital importancia que los exportadores siempre tomen en cuenta estas enfermedades ya que el (SAG) debe de asegurar que todos los productos pecuarios de exportación.

 

Estos productos deberán de cumplir con la normativa nacional y con los requisitos zoosanitarios exigidos por los países importadores para los productos de origen animal.    

 

Por todo esto es que los exportadores requieren de una certificación oficial para comerciar productos de origen pecuarios. 

Este documento oficial es el Certificado Zoosanitario de Exportación (CZE).
